Through FIRSTstep and NEXTstep, you’ll build strong biblical foundations, discover your God-given purpose, and become part of the mission of City on a Hill.
Build a Strong Foundation

FIRSTstep

Whether you’re new to faith, returning to God, or wanting to grow deeper, FIRSTstep is a four-session journey that helps you build a solid foundation for following Jesus. Important: Join FIRSTstep at any stage, Complete all four sessions to graduate from FIRSTstep.

Session One

MY NEW LIFE

Discover what it means to begin a new life in Christ. Learn about your identity in Jesus, understand the Gospel, and start building a personal relationship with God.

Session Two

LOVE GOD

Develop a lifestyle of devotion through prayer, Scripture, worship, the Holy Spirit, and daily fellowship with God.
Session Three

LOVE EACH OTHER

Faith was never meant to be lived alone. Learn the value of biblical community, healthy relationships, forgiveness, accountability, and serving alongside others.
Session Four

LOVE THE WORLD

Discover God’s heart for people and how your gifts, generosity, service, and personal story can impact the world for Jesus.

NEXTstep

After completing FIRSTstep, NEXTstep helps you move from believing to belonging and serving. NEXTstep can only be started after completing FIRSTstep.

Discover the vision, values, beliefs, and culture of City on a Hill, and learn what it means to call this church your home.
Step Two

Discover Your
Design

God created you with unique gifts and purpose. Explore your personality, spiritual gifts, and how God has designed you to make a difference.
Step Three

Join a Team

Find your place on a ministry team and begin using your gifts to serve others while helping people encounter Jesus.

FIRSTstep – 4 Sessions (1 session per week)
NEXTstep – 3 Sessions (1 session per week)

Yes! Every FIRSTstep session stands on its own. You can begin with any session and complete the remaining sessions in whatever order they are offered.

NEXTstep is available once you have completed all four FIRSTstep sessions.

Join us on Sunday and stay after the celebration to attend.
